GRINDING MACHINE FOR FLAT SURFACES

The satin finishing machine allows you to carry out finishing and satin finishing operations on details with flat surfaces such as plates and sheet metal, bars and tubular elements with a square or rectangular section. The processing takes place by means of an abrasive belt and a brush, which, adjusted according to the thickness of the detail, performs the smoothing of one face for each single pass, combined with a conveyor belt which carries out the automatic advancement of the details. In addition to smoothing, satin-finishing and finishing operations in general, it is possible, with the sole replacement of the abrasive belt, to carry out grinding and deburring operations on parts cut by shear or with thermal cutting such as oxyfuel and laser. Belts of any type of abrasive grain (corundum, zirconium, ceramic, diamond, agglomerate, cork, Trizact, Scotch-Brite, etc. etc.) or Scotch-Brite brushes of different grains can be mounted in the machine to obtain different finishing qualities . The machine is built with components suitable for 'wet' machining, i.e. with the use of a coolant which cools the parts being worked on, preventing them from becoming deformed and guaranteeing a longer life for the abrasive belt as well as obtaining very high quality finishes. The wet system is particularly suitable for the satin finishing of non-ferrous materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, copper, bronze, brass and even titanium, which have characteristics of high thermal conductivity especially if they are tubular with thin thicknesses. The operator has the possibility to choose, via the electrical panel positioned on the front of the machine, whether to carry out 'wet' or 'dry' machining. Support roller conveyors can be added to the machine, both incoming and outgoing, as it has been specifically designed with a fixed-height conveyor belt to facilitate the processing of bars and long parts.
