Numerically controlled drilling and tapping machine, continuously interpolated Z axis and spindle rotation, brushless motors for spindle rotation and for Z axis movement. Encoders on the motors for continuous control of the position and speed of the axes. The lack of mechanical backlash and the precision of the interpolation allow RIGID TAPPING to be performed.
